Even though I'm part of a dynamic duo that runs a coupon website, I find that there are always more deals to discover! Just the other day, even I was surprised by the deeply discounted prices that one of our stores, 4inkjets.com, offers on their website.
It wasn't until my husband came home with a black ink cartridge for our printer priced at $17.99 (+ tax!) that I decided to do a little comparison shopping online. For the past few weeks I've been hearing fabulous things about CoverGirl's new LashBlast mascara. It's been generating so much buzz, even Oprah featured it as one of her top picks for summer. O's BFF, Gayle gave some scientific explanation about what makes this stuff so great, but the only thing I care about is - does it give good lash?
So yesterday I broke down and bought it. When I brought it up to the counter, even the cashier got excited about my purchase and went on to tell me that it's her new favorite mascara. And I gotta say, when coupled with my other secret weapons for eyes (I'll get to that in second), my lashes have never looked flirtier.
My other secret for lashes is actually a two-step curling process. Before I apply my LashBlast, I start off by curling my lashes with Shu Uemura's cult favorite curler to give my lashes lift at the root. But in order to achieve a true curled lash, I rely on Sephora's Professional Mini Heated Lash Curler. This beauty tool is a MUST HAVE if you're obsessed with lush, truly curly lashes. It takes a little practice to perfect the technique, but you simply brush it along your lashes the way you would mascara and then hold at the tip of your lashes for a few seconds longer to achieve the curl.
Between curling and my LashBlast, I think I've finally (whew!) discovered the secret to perfect lashes! Now if I could only find a wrinkle cure...

I'm a freak about taking care of my skin and have been for years. Now that I'm thirty-something, I'm thanking myself for making the decision to wear sunscreen daily when I hit 20.
